T-Metal flashing is installed incorrectly on this Beaverton OR home causing dry rot in the roofing system. This metal flashing is designed to shed water off the side of the fascia board (barge rafter) and onto to the ground beneath. This person (whoever he is...) installed the flashing so it would drain rainwater INTO the roof system. NOT GOOD.

The entire perimeter of the home has rotted fascia boards and plywood that must be now replaced. In addition, the "then" installer didn't install ice/water underlayment, (that the rubberized underlayment that self adheres to the plywood decking) and protects the eaves and rakes (the non-gutter fascia boards) from build-up ice dams.
